hot pepper wax

Hi, all, I'm getting ready to head to Ohio Earth Food, Inc. to stock up on necessities for my plumeria. I've come across something called hot pepper wax. I'm going to add what is said about this product, with the hopes any of you may have experience with it before I buy it. "A safe insect repellent made from Hot Cayenne Peppers. Will repel insects and insect larvae such as aphids, spider mites, thrips, leaf miners, white flies, lace bugs, mealy bugs, coddling moths, leaf hoppers, and scale from fruits, flowers, house plants, and vegetables for up to 30 days. Cover plant with spray until wet but not dripping. Can be used through day of harvest. Use 4-8 oz. concentrate per gallon of water or 2-6 gallons per acre." I've also read where hot pepper repels ants also. What do you think???
