He's never around when you need him. I think he is off to the Villarta market scoring some Manzanos and smoking some meat.

Just kidding. He is ever present on every chile forum all the time, spreading the heat and leading the battle against bland food. He's like a superhero!

I saw on a cottage show on tv that a gazebo owner installed double screens (back to back) which prevented the rain from penetrating the gazebo. I researched this on line and could not find any reference to this. I am going to buy some screen and try it out on one of my gazebo walls. I hope it works and I hope you can still see clearly out. I thought of another idea if the double screen does not work. You can buy clear heavy weight plastic at your local Fabric stores. It is sold in rolls just like a bolt of material. I believe it is sold in different widths, up to 60 inches wide or so. I thought of stapling the sheet of plastic on a 1 inch by 2 inch piece of wood to create a header or top. At the bottom staple a 2 inch X 2 inch piece of wood (the thicker piece of wood would be heavier creating a bit of weight to hold the blind down). Drill a hole on each end of the top header. Fasten a nail or screw in the interior of the gazebo (matching the holes you drilled in the header. Hook the blinds on the nails or screws. When you do not want to use the plastic blinds, you can simply remove them and roll them up by hand and store them. It would take seconds to install these blinds and it should stop the rain from coming in. If you have strong winds in your area, you can fasten the bottom of the blinds using wing nuts. Just a thought..... Cheaper than installing window screens. Also once you install window screens on a screen porch or gazebo it does not feel the same anymore...

Last treatment is something to celebrate and if Dark Chocolate Amaretto cupcakes won't keep the good luck flowing nothing will! Last year the HG had to go for 2 hours daily for six weeks. The staff treated him so kindly so I in turn provided them with goodies. They were very appreciative to the point where it seemed like that didn't happen often.

My personal experience with things like directors chairs or camping cots that have solid fabric to support your body is that first they feel very comfortable but after about 20 minutes they start feeling harder and harder. Anything more than half an hour and I'm wanting to get off it. I've used non spreader bar hammocks for camping and for the garden I'm going with a spreader bar, I should have added that to the list. I like the more open feel and, again for me, it's easier to just casually lay down on one with a spreader bar than one without.

All ready cleaned for the smoker but it started raining,so they are in the freezer.

I was going to get more yesterday and today but the Shoe Leather Express doesn't run in the rain.

Planted my first dozen seeds today about 70 more to go.

Hey smokemaster, is your Chocolate Cherry hot? If so, where do you get the seeds, I've never heard of Chocolate Cherry (other than the tomatoes....which are WONDERFUL! ;-)) and it sounds very intriguing.

Whew! Found you! Playing hide and seek from me!!! Lol, the only "specials" on peppers we get around here are the Anaheims. When they're in season, watch out! They smoke them in the parking lots! Lol. KK, emailed ya.

smokemaster, you talking to me? If so... I don't know, I'll have to look when I get home, I think I've planted everything (hopefully I'll have plenty to trade this summer).. I think right now all I have left seed-wise is Habs, Choc habs, pimiento de padron, and some of the usual jalapenos, tabasco, fresno, cowhorn, espanhola,fish, hot portugal, numex big jim, maybe thai hot orange. I'll look when I get home to see what else.
