My new peonies have just bloomed and

when I purchased them, they were packed in boxes appeared to be dead. They were purchased in Tennessee and when we arrived home in NJ, some 3 weeks later, I finally planted them. Yes, the roots looked very sad.

But three years later, lo and behold, two of these plants are in bloom; 5 on one and 2 on the other, and oh, I forgot to mention that it is a Sarah Bernhard peony. They look so pretty.

In my previous garden up in northern NJ, we were given a few Festiva Maxima, a white peony, and then added a Japanese pink, red double and a few others to my collection. I would like to add something new to the aforementioned pink peonies in my garden and am looking for some suggestions. Perhaps a pretty Japanese single, do you know of a GREAT variety? or even a double? Anyone??
