About me: I am a young grandmother (with 2 grandsons) who would be content to garden at any given time. It would be safe to say that I am a "passionate gardener" and have been since an early age. During the nice weather, I can be working in my garden tending the perennial beds, the rose garden, daylilies, oriental lilies, clematis, etc. But my favorite spot that I love is my small vegetable plot known as my potager. The rose against the house in the potager is Climbing Peace; and sharing some of the space in the foreground are Oriental lilies, blue salvia, snapdragons which are beautiful. My favorite vegetables are heirloom tomatoes, pepper varieties, herbs and cucumbers, varieties of beans, italian vegetables and herbs. Don't you like to combine flowers with your vegetables?
My past ventures have been a Volunteer Community Garden Manager, a Master Gardener in NJ, Environmental association member and currently a Garden Club Member. Many years ago I was actively involved with the African Violet Society and won several top prizes and ribbons, and served on the executive committee. Having lots of fun meeting folks online over various forums and everyone has come through with good constructive advice; talk to you soon.
