Well, its complicated.
Its so warm here MOST of the time, people get a case of "bad judgement-itis". Their brains get fried in all the heat. Its 72 degrees here right now, I can feel my skin burning when I am driving with the top down in the convertible. It obviously made her a little squirrely too. I mean, who would go to the Seminole Hard Rock if they were running a 105F fever? Its way too hot down in Miami to have that kind of fever, I mean, it was 80 today! She shoulda been in the ICU somewhere. AN ICU with palm trees in each room. They feel they have to have the best of everything down there. Mountains of money. Mind altering substances. Fast cars. Mansions in the Bahamas. Babies with 4-5 possible fathers. Perfect figures. Rare palms growing out in every yard. It leads many a person to wrack and ruin. Its hard for us normal folks to keep up with the likes of the Anna Nicoles of the world. We feel boring and plain by comparison. But, at least we have one thing on those people: WE CAN GUESS THE PALM.

Well another Floridian must speak up. At least we know we don't have cabin fever as I stroll out to get my mail in shorts and bare feet.

Thanks Barb. I guess we have to stick together here. Everyone else has frozen brain syndrome. I like to bebop around in the warm weather with the top down. Have to lay off that for a day or 2, the cold is about to hit here for a few. But not for long. It'll be black tank top meets black Porsche meets old Black Sabbath soon enuff, in 3-4 days time. Or maybe Marilyn Manson....no, I got it...the Grammy award winning SLAYER..."Eyes of the Insane" from Christ Illusion. No better, gets no better.

But oppalm, I thought everyone on this forum were palm aficionados! That you spent every waking moment in the perusal of palm knowledge! Which one has spines? Which one doesn't? How tall does that one get? What color fruit does that one have? What temp will this one croak at? When does this one get a "real" leaf? You know, palm stuff.
I myself don't really know any palm stuff. The extent of my palm knowledge is, "Dig a hole, stick the palm in, and see if it grows or not". That's why its fun for me to hang around here andlisten to all of you banter this palm knowledge around.
Like, I didn't know that Gronophyllum had been mixmastered with Hydriastele til recently.
