best greens in window boxes

Today is too windy for raking, so I am puttering and cutting greens for my window boxes and planters.

I always do pine branches and they hold up great til spring. I tried some holly branches last year and I think they did well too. This year I just tried some rainbow leuchothoe in a planter and I am LOVIN it. (picture later). Great trailing effect and texture with the variegation.

But I don't know if leuchothoe will last like the others though. THe stem is not as woody as the others. Will it last?
