Can I plant zuchetta after I harvest garlic or potatoes?

I got the most wonderful gift of some zuchetta seeds in the mail today (thanks Paula). I probably only have room to plant a couple of them right now, but will have quite a bit of room open up once I am able to harvest my irish potatoes (which are about to flower) and my garlic (planted at the end of October I thing). I am assuming both these crops will be harvested sometime between late May and Late June. I am in central OK.
Can zuchetta go in the ground that late? If so, should I start some transplants. Thanks for any input. I am SO excited to try this (I have never grown any squash, either here or in New Mexico)
