My daughter and I were at last years swap and it was so much fun! Rachel was just bugging me the other day about when this years swap was. Good thing I checked in. We will be there. I recently had knee surgery so I don't know if I will be able to get much together to swap. :-( But I will try.

We are looking forward to it.

Mrs. Frodo, I'll let you keep your first-born child! lol The tomato plants are rather large, and except for taking a beating from the wind a little now & then, and getting too dry once or twice, they've been fine. My driveway will be quite lonely once they leave our home for yours (grinning). The four o'clocks and black-eyed susan vine are still available, and I'm bringing lots of each. The verbena bonariensis forms a mound about one foot in diameter. Then very thin, tall stalks shoot up. At the top of the stalks you will have tiny cluster of lilac-colored flowers. The stalks also branch out some, and flowers form on each branch. The bees and butterflies fight over the flowers. If you deadhead by cutting the flowering stalks off near the ground, the plant will re-bloom over and over again. It is a very light and airy plant, amazingly tough and drought-resistant. Sometimes reseeds itself. I've attached a link with a picture of verbena for your viewing pleasure. And, what am I looking for? Just about any herb or veggie. Or flower. Or anything else. I'm not picky and I like trying new things, so anything you have to trade is fine. And, if you run out of things to trade, that's fine too. Suzanne I would like to have one of your viburnum bushes. I started with a blank canvas of 1-3/4 acres two years ago and though we plant most anything we find I need shrubs and bushes. I have 2 of my angel trumpets set aside for others but still have two left. I am also bringing aloe vera plants as they are wonderful to have around a garden for first aid purposes and will winter over easily indoors. Mine live inside all winter. I also have a few other things, however, due to senior moments I don't remember right now what they are. Shelia

Have a super time everyone! I wish I could make it, but I am losing one weekend day to a workshop in the "city" and can't afford to neglect the garden and yard for two.

Hope y'all have fun! I can't wait to read all about it.

I never posted to the swap threads. I didn't want to commit & then back out, leaving a hole in the supplies.
However I kept reading about the swap & I even potted up plants, just in case I was able to attend.

I finally decided today, or rather accepted the fact, that I'm not going to be able to make the drive. I hope I can make it next year.

I hoped to make it for the first time, but it is looking grim. I have come down with a case of conjunctivitis and will still be contagious, I'm afraid, tomorrow. Also, because of this, I haven't been able to get out in the yard and pot up the plants I was going to bring. Too cold today; I've had to take off work due to this problem also.

I hope that conjunctivitis clears up quickly.

Today was a "yucky" weather day here, too. It was a good day to stay inside and take care of yourself...so I hope that you did that!
