Good shopping! Wish I had luck with Zygos - they are so gorgeous and that white catt is a beaut. Summer Spot is one of my favorite spotted catts. The fragrance of mine is heavenly - and it's got a big lead coming along. Yippee.

Good eye Calvin, it's Zygo Syd Monkhouse. And it is fragrant...4 blooms and the whole room is scented! My biggest gripe with it is that there are waaaay too many leaves for just 4 blooms. Hopefully it's a cultural issue and not a genetic issue.

C. Summer Spot caught our eye right away. Actually it's all Marci's doing...after viewing her gorgeously photographed spotted catts, I was hooked!

BTW, Marci, how long do the blooms of your C. Summer Spot last? And how many buds does it put out at a time?

Steph, my C Summer Spot was purchased as a bare root division. It's first bloom for me yielded two 3" flowers that opened between the leaves of the newest lead sans sheath. The flowers opened green w/spots and turned almost white in about a day. It has a sweet fragrance that is reminiscent of tea roses. The flowers lasted two weeks. Next time I will move it indoors when in bloom to see if they last longer out of the heat. Here's mine.

Marci, that's a gorgeous summer spot! Sans sheath...this one doesn't have a sheath either and it's not a unifoliate or a bifoliate...it's a TRIfoliate. Too bad the blooms don't last too long, but it's beauty and fragrance does make it worth while!

Bolero, my sister's orchid was stolen when she put it on her porch for some fresh air. She was so heart-broken because it was her first orchid. She even posted "lost" posters of it around her neighborhood.

Jane, I went the first day and the show area was nearly empty however the vendor arcade was PACKED! I thought about going back to grab some deals on the last day but then I realized I have no more space left under my lights...

Nice choices, Steph. I went there on the first day also, too bad we didn't pump into each other. I picked up my pre-order from Andy's and then bought 4 little minis from Hoosier. I went back again on Friday with a friend and picked up another 5. I just made a new orchidium recently and it is filled already.
