Off topic warning - picture

At noon yesterday, without any warning, the top of our chimney collapsed shooting bricks onto a patio. Luckily, no one was there -- they could have been very badly hurt. Our house is 35 years old, very well built yet this happened. I don't know if it is the heating and cooling and wetness of our climate but we are making sure that all of our chimneys are inspected carefully! I understand that when this house was built there was a problem with morter -- poor cement used, or not enough cement in the mix. There was absolutely no warning of this problem and from the ground you could see no concern.
