Roses dying before bloom?

Hi,

We inherited three tall rose bushes when we bought this house a year ago. They had problems with black spot, but were hardy. I trimmed them down and they've come back looking great this Spring, except for one bush- a strange thing is happening- it looks really healthy and there are a lot of nice looking buds, but as they barely start to unfurl the petals have been turning black and the blooms never open!

I don't have any experience with roses and this bush is a beautiful red rose, the other two are a yellowy white and a yellow with red. It's hard to see all these buds but not get the gorgeous flower! Any ideas??

Thanks!!!
