Umm, if those pictures show the new larger pot, the plant will continue to be in trouble. Much too small afor a plant that can easily become 4 feet across. It's early enough in the season that you might consider seeding new plants, fertilizing regularly as soon as the 2nd set of leaves develop. And it would likely be helpful to become acquainted with your county's Extension Service office which will be able to direct you to local gardening information. Any chance on getting a picture? Zone?? If they aren't wilted they have enough water. I know they require a lot of food. How's your fertilizing?? Muskmelon females can be a bit fickle about getting fertilized. One out of five isn't a horrible ratio but it should be better. My window here in Z5 for fertilizing melons is a small one. If they don't set fruit in the first wave which lasts a couple of weeks or so, it's pretty much a done deal.

I think all that you are saying is true but something more may be happening too. Marianne, I really see what you have pointed out, that when there is a full flush of peppers growing the plant finds ways of not adding more peppers one way or another. But if you remove some of those peppers the plant quickly sets some more fruit. These flowers maybe dropping at least for that reason, but observing for a few more days, it seems that the plants are hurting in some way. This maybe common knowledge amongst you who know your pepper plants....I am making another post about what I see. woohooman, its really not that hot now, 80s for the last 6-7 days and the plants are mulched and well watered. So its over watering or something else. Or too much nitrogen or too little calcium? Disease? I would like to solve this problem. Thank you. K.

Thank you so much Lilyfinch! Peggy Martin is coming into full bloom soon. I've got my dad now wanting to plant her around their fence and a couple friends on theirs as well. Love that rose and perfect for beginners too! You should definitely get her! She doesn't have the best rebloom like many of my other roses throughout the year but she is one heck of a showstopper in spring and will certainly give you that pop of color in your garden! I'll post again when she's in full bloom. That stinks your neighborhood doesn't allow chickens or ducks. :( If we ever move to another neighborhood rather than some land and a house, I've always said first requirement would be it must allow my feathered babies! lol The ducks have been so much more fun to raise than my chickens, they have such personality and are just so much cuter, although I will always love my chickens. :) ~Meghan By the way, see my pics are squashed too.
