Should I move a hosta

Of course, if you think it would look better and of course if you think/hope it will perform better in another spot.

Patience, if you move a plant it probably won't do well for 3 years. I know some will give methods that give faster results and they will be right but on average it will take 3 years for any new planting to become established. Three years to be drought resistant, by that I mean even short term water shortages.

Hosta of the same variety are not always equal, you may have a particular plant that is never going to live up to expectations. If you move a particular plant a couple of times and it doesn't look like the Hosta Library photo then give up, be satisfied with that plant you have.
