Top 8 Part Deux----Ornamentals, Herbs

I liked reading DawnRenee's post so much on veggies, that I thought I would start a thread for the rest of the garden.

List your Top 8 for each category: Perennials, Annuals, Herbs, Trees, Shrubs, Vines.

I realize there may not be 8 in your list, but even 2 or 3 is fine. These would be for the best performers in your Oklahoma garden.

Perennials:

Coneflowers (Echinaceas)

Hardy Hibiscus (I have Texas Star and Fantasia)

Liatris spicata

Lantana

Asters (native oblongifolius and non-native Tartaricus)

Spigelia marilandica (Indian Pink)

Solomon's Seal variegated

Chocolate Flower (Berlandier)

Annuals:

Zinnias (some reseeding)

Morning Glories (reseeding)

Cosmos Cosmic series (reseeding)

Verbena bohariensis (reseeding)

Cleome (some reseeding)

4 o'clocks (reseeding)

Asclepias curassavica (very little reseeding)

Senna bicapsularis (reseeding Xmas Cassia)

Shrubs:

Azaleas

Butterfly Bushs

Hydrangea (quercifolia or Oakleaf; 'Nikko Blue')

Itea virginica 'Little Henry'

Rhus aromatica (aromatic Sumac)

Vines:

Passion Vine 'Lavendar Lady'

Clematis 'Polish Spirit'

Clematis 'Dr. Ruppel'

Virginia Creeper

Lonicera yellow flowering native

Herbs:

Lavendar 'Provence'

Rue

Parsley flat leaf

Lemon Balm

Garlic Chives

Most that I listed are pretty simple, common plants that are pretty much workhorses in the garden.
