Winter Weather Advisories for Much of State

Okiedawn OK Zone 7

The NWS office in Norman has issued a Winter Weather advisory for portions of western, central and southern Oklahoma. This Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from midnight tonight through 1 p.m. tomorrow. Hazards in the Advisory include cold wind, snow and ice. The wind will contribute to very cold wind chill temperatures.

Last night, I posted and linked the Winter Weather Advisory that the Tulsa office of the National Weather Service had issued for northeastern and eastern OK and portions of adjoining states. You can see it on the same weather page linked below in the graphic at the bottom of the page or can find that thread somewhere on this page to see the linked graphics from the Tulsa NWS office.

A Special Weather Statement warning of light snow and freezing drizzle has been issued for the Oklahoma panhandle counties and portions of adjoining states.

The Enhanced Webpage of the Norman office of the NWS is linked below so you can see the graphics. You can click on any county to read the applicable forecast, watches, warnings and special weather statements.

We may be dreaming of spring and planting season but Old Man Winter isn't through with us yet.
