No picture in your posting....thats what happens when I TRY to pot a picture. I just cant do it either. I know that 'Albo' gives a white edge, or white in it,that what one plant that I have, that also doesn't have a name tag on it, has, but it is in with the pictures of the 'Neo.Donger' pictures on that Bromeliad website. So two of my 3 'Neos' are all Donger crosses I guess. But the one that I have the name tag on,is called 'Fireball Albo-varigata', and it is a light pink and has stripes of pink,white and dark pink. So...I guess I will just put a tag in them all of 'Neo. Donger' I got them all at teh same time from the same person on EBay like 4-5 years ago....IF I could only remember their name, i could get the name they called them. But i cant recall their name, so, I am stuck with Neo.Donger..they must just be all crosses of Donger. Guess I like it. They grow so easy and depending on the amount of sun,I can turn them all totally green, or they turn into their full color,.....from light pink to burgundy stripes. I just would have liked to have known the actual name of the deep burgundy one. It must have some 'Fireball' in it,since it puts out so many 'stolons' like the Neo.'Fireball'. Easy to grow,fast to spread and pretty. I just hate not knowing their names.

It isn't a small version of this guy, is it? This is a black swallowtail butterfly caterpillar. They don't normally eat mint but could be there for carrot family muchables. Don't squish these ones. Move them to some queen anne's lace/wild carrot and they'll be happy! By the way, even new members can post pictures. Please excuse my insanity but any chance these sawfly larvae are related to Scolia nobilitata or some variety there within? I have had a swarm (though not the actual word I want to use) of these (at least I think that is what these are) in my backyard. I attempted to take pictures but the flight is so low and quick, that I couldn't get up close shots. I got two decent pictures and from the looks, I'm guessing I have S. nobilitata. It appears that they are sawflies. LOL! I think I've come full circle. I spent a lot of time making sure that we didn't have a yellow jacket outbreak. The sawflies aren't aggressive and other than some leaf eating, appear to be incredibly helpful.

They seem to get in the buds before they bloom and the buds are sticky and deformed (eaten) when they open. The worm/caterpillar is 1/4-1/3 inch and has a reddish head. It’s not happening to all the buds. Thanks! Suggestions for control?
