How can I save my Burning Bush from too much water?

I live in a townhouse and I have a burning bush planted next to the divider by my neighbor. Unfortunately, my neighbor insists on watering his lawn for 3 hours every day. This is causing the top leaves of my burning bush to turn reddish brown and curl. Is there anything I can do to help my bush survive?

I have already asked my neighbor to not water so much and he stormed off and is pouting like a 2 year old. Other neighbors have tried to talk to him, but they get the same reaction. It seems he likes to think he knows everything and is offended that everyone can't see it. I would appreciate any help.

Burning bushes are practically weeds around here. I don't know what to say. Three hours of watering? That's kinda nuts. Neighbor problems are unique and nasty. Is he an older gentleman? Don't know what to tell you. If it's a townhouse situation there should be an association or landlord to deal with these issues.

Build an obnoxious shield on the edge of your side that borders his, so when his sprinkler tries to squirt your bush, it repels the water back onto his side. I'm trying to think of a material you could use that won't look hideous, but I am drawing a blank. Perhaps a shower tiling board that is screwed\wire-tied into T-posts to hold it firm and anchored to the ground. I hope that wouldn't be an expensive endevour, but it might be what you need to do if so much as to get the neighbor to come to his senses or else he gets to look at your great wall for ever more.

Nope, not gonna stop the yellow, but keep soaking today and tomorrow. Exactly the damage can only be determined by how much nitrogen there was by percentage and the form(s) of nitrogen present. If there was a slow release element, the damage will not be continuous at this point. If none was slow release, the damage was immediate because the nitrogen was immediately supplied to the plants. The only thing you can do is water a lot to try to leach the fertilizer past the root zone. Still not effective from a damage-reversing point of view but would have prevented damage somewhat had you caught it and began watering earlier. Normally, it isn't anything to worry about in the long run. In the short run, the grass will look really crappy for a while but will recover. How long that takes usually depends on the type of grass you have. If it's bluegrass, expect that to be about a month give or take. In the meanwhile, don't blow it off as dead. It may not be. Keep mowing on a regular basis, never mowing off more than one third its height. And after tomorrow, irrigate as usual supplying no more than one inch of water per week taking rainfall into consideration. If it isn't bluegrass, let's hope it's not dead, but most don't die from this and usually do recover.

this is second pics, actually I already moved it to this smaller pot and make the rootball exposed again to the air and put it back to the coffee table next to glass door in my apartment. I don't think this is too much water, it looks dry on the yellow leaves...is it stressed out because I moved it with too much sun? I thought echeveria like fuller sun...or maybe because I never water it thoroughly because of traumatic with all the leaves drops and rotten before? when it gonna grow new rossettes on the stem>? I read it will grow new rossettes head on the stem, is it true?? should I water it or just let it be...?? please advise soon...help...i dont want to lose this again

First, pull off all the rotten parts and then put a coating of cinnamon and replant in your mix with no water. Wait for a month and see if any more is rotting. I think it is too late for this one but the other two should be ok if you limit the water. Also don't let any water collect in the bottom tray. The fast draining mix should be ok to let the excess water escape. also need more light. Keep warm. That exact one I don't know about. It may be because of low light. Any body else can Identify this sans? It looks like a lime green hahnii. I never seen one befor. Lennie, if it grows again, I would love a pup from you to add to my collection. Stush

The number of coats is completely irrelevant. It depends on the product. It depends on the method of application. The important thing is to read and follow the directions provided by the manufacturer. For water base finishes, there are a couple of rules that you MUST follow: 1. Do not apply water base finishes at temperatures below 65 F. That is the most important rule to follow! Many things will go wrong if the temperatures are too cold. A white or cloudy appearance is from the cold. Be sure everything is at the proper temperature: the work piece, the finish, and the air. 2. Allow each coat to dry properly before recoating. If you can't sand the previous coat of finish and produce powder, it is not dry enough. Do not attempt to put on all the coats the same day, even if the can says one hour recoat. Two coats per day is the max! 3. Choose the application method based on how thick of a coating you desire. Wiping on a finish leaves the thinnest coat. More coats are necessary to build a durable film. Brushes lay on a thicker coating that levels out as it dries. If you brush too thin, it leaves brush marks; brush too heavy and you get runs. I doubt you'll be using spray equipment, so I won't go there. I'd say that 3 wet coats applied with a brush would be ideal. With a rag, you may need 5 or more coats to achieve a durable film.

Is it from the water hitting it for so long daily, or from drowning due to the soil being so wet? If it is the latter, you might try lifting the bush, and making like a mini raised bed, and replant it.
Is there any way you can just move it to another side of the property, or are you wanting where it is, to block him out a bit? If the latter is the case, you might consider planting some bamboo.
