Are they weeds or some kinds or my wildflower plants?

Hello,

I have sown native plant seeds and wildflower seeds in Spring and very early fall. I did not notice the two kinds of plants until their reaching to half the sizes as they are now. They have grown so fast. I don't believe that they are two kinds of my wildflower plants. They are probably weeds. However, why had they not showed up before I sowed wildflower seeds? They have never been anywhere either. They just grow up at the exact spots where I sowed the seeds. They confuse me. Please check the pictures to see if they are weeds (I uploaded 2 pictures for each type of plant for better details). The leaves of the first type plant look like philodendron's, yet it bears vines close to the flower parts.

They are some form of cucmber, squash, melon, zucchini, or something in that family

Yup. With tomatoes in the foreground. Looks like you have some "volunteers!" See what your volunteers have to offer you - maybe some tasty delights!

I think I know the tiny orange flower plant. I call it a mallow but that's just a guess. I had no luck moving some. Since they pop up everywhere I assume it would be easier to just start them from seed. Collecting the seed would be interesting since they're so tiny. I've never had much luck moving annual wild flowers. Easy from seed.

WELL...last night someone on name that plant forum indicated that it was called Yellowrocket, which led to finding that it is probably a very close relative of Yellowrocket: Wild Radish. Whis is a very close relative to Wild Mustard :-) The only reason it can't be Yellowrocket is because the stems and leaves have tiny hairs, which indicates it is Wild Radish. However. I have seen pics of Wild Radish now on Google Images that don't look like this plant, and some that show Yellowrocket looking dead-on accurate, save for the leaves. Ha. At any rate, I'm pulling them up...tis' not to be... Thanks so much for your help, timbu and fammsimm. Now I am also familiar with two other kinds of weeds, so if I spot them, I'll know right away :-) Joanna

It resembles an Erigeron. MaryAnn I am on a PC. I click on the Photo button as seen below (when you post) and it brings up the files where I have my pics stored on my computer. I just scroll through until I come to the pic I want. I hope that was helpful to you.

That's very interesting!! I have ALWAYS encountered uninvited weeds. This time, I got veges!!!! How did it happen??? Very unusual! Anyway. Thank you all for identifying them.

Last year I got several yellow squash off of a volunteer. They didn't taste as good as cultivated squash, though. I think they were cross pollinated with something wild, so the flavor wasn't the same.

But I've been perfectly happy with non-edible pumpkins and gourds from volunteers.

This year I had a volunteer pumpkin vine grow straight up the cup plants. It grew to the top of those 10' tall plants. It was amusing to see. I ended up cutting it back because it started to pull the plants down.
