Celebrate Wildflowers of Detroit

Hi all!

I am part of the WinterRoot collaborative, and we are kickstarting a project that I think you'll be interested in!

With this project, called Wildflowers of Detroit we hope to turn peoples attention away from the decaying buildings of Detroit and toward the plants steadily establishing themselves. The project itself consists of iphone, android, and all cellphone applications people will use to upload photos they've taken of wild plants in Detroit's open spaces. These images are then uploaded to an interactive map! We already have a first-draft of this project online, which you can see by following the link at the end of this message.

If you do not live in Detroit, don't shy away; the software we are making here is going to be open source so it can be re-purposed by anyone with computer skills. We also have a reward tier for backers that will bring Wildflowers of Detroit to your city!

Wow this is really cool this seems like a great project with wildflowers I wish you the best of luck and if you spread to denver let me know I will be more then willing to help/

Thanks so much you guys! It's been a beautiful day here. I don't know exactly but it had to have been around 70 and I got to play in the yard some. I don't remember it being so nice outside on this date ever. Had an awesome lunch at Longhorn's. Got a real neat bath set from my mother with bubble bath, lotions, bath crystals, I mean everything you can possibly think of, so am looking forward to a hot bath in a little while! If I need a reminder of winter, I just stick my hand in the freezer 'til it hurts. There's a local expression; "lucky stay Hawaii". So true! I celebrated my first Christmas here by planting green beans, sure beats shoveling snow!

Bizzo, After all these years of visiting Mom, I discovered, Cantoro's Italian Bakery and Market. It's on Middlebelt, north of 7 mile. Best to watch of full screen. In the late 1980's I was invited aboard the US Stark that was docked in Windsor and watched the fireworks from the deck of the naval ship. Not too long after that the ship was torpedoed in the Straight of Hormuz and some of the men were killed. I was operating a food booth during International Village during the International Freedom Festival right in front of where the gang plank came down and I would give free corn on the cob, fruit and pop or coffee to the sailors who stopped by.
