If not Myosotis certainly in the Boraginaceae family. Why are you sure it isn't a forget-me-not? There are many species and lots have have fuzzy leaves. Do you have a picture of the open flower heads?

Have you thought about buying seed and sowing them this summer/fall for spring blooms? We bought our house and the forget me nots (all blue) were gorgeous. they have "moved" as they have reseeded, but I tried to move some to another property and none come up there. So I'm guessing mine are definitely annuals that reseed themselves. Swallowtail garden has several types of forget me not seeds. As a matter of fact, I love my blue forget me so much (all in my front yard), I am going to buy the pink ones for the backyard and sow in the fall. I did find some blue forget me not seeds locally, as well.

I've grown them and had them come back for a quite a few years from dropped seeds. Unlike most annuals they don't bloom all summer. Only for a month or so in early summer. They do look good in bloom but I'd only use them as a filler before other plants take over. Yes they are very easy to grow from seed. The flowers while still small are larger than the perennial forget-me-nots.

I admit to being afflicted with the desire to try any plant I don't have yet. :-) And I can understand wanting the foliage to be something more special than plain green, but..... I would like to defend the Brunnera's unappreciated flowers. They're delicate and airy, floating above the foliage, such a pretty touch of true blue in spring. ....I know I'm not as poetic as some of you. :-) so let me try with photos! How about a little love for Jack Frost and its spring flowers.... the early bees seem to love them, also. While the Brunnera flowers aren't the star here, they do make a nice swath of blue for a backdrop. I'm not sure how well the bi-color would show up, but if anyone grows this new Starry Eyes, I'd like to see it!
