I am in NC, we are getting that snow storm now! We probably have a similar climate. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't freeze solid in the mail! If you send a bubble mailer, with an address label and at least double what it costs to mail it to me in postage. I will return any surplus postage to you. I will dig down into the leaves and find some nice rooted pieces, they are pretty tough. Just press them into some soil when you get them and they should start growing right away. If they don't I will send MORE!!! I have so much of this plant it is taking over my yard! Let me know. My email works. Frances

Nice plants, Leslie! I think you can use the mix you have planned. I have my regular K. luciae in the ground (and we have lots of rain!) and they do fine. They are on an elevated island, but there is a lot of sand that creeps into the holes I filled with grit. Will you need to bring them inside on occasion, or you just like the pots? I bought a K. luciae 'Fantastic' at the Edison Estates spring sale. Just loved it. I put it in a pot and kept it on the sundeck. It maintained its color. Much smaller than yours! I was disappointed when it bloomed. I did not get any pups. I don't know if that is because it was in a pot or "just because!" LOL I can't tell the difference in luciae and thyrsiflora plants, but the luciae has greenish white flowers and thyrsiflora has yellow. Mine had the greenish flowers.
