I've posted this on a couple other sites hoping someone may be able to help.

I am looking for the native rose Rosa laevigata, The Cherokee Rose.

Any ideas where I could find plants?

Forest Farm offers them, in a smallish, "tube" size that should grow to a nice size in a year or so. However, they're in Oregon and will only ship by air ($$$) at this time of year. Even ground shipment to the east can be pricey if you only order one or two plants, but the quality of their stuff is excellent and if you order a fair amount the price is reasonable compared with other good suppliers.

As I indicated on the Georgia site, this is not a native plant, so I am posting here in case your post makes others think that it is one. It is originally from China.

To the sources listed above, I will add Seed Savers Exchange for Georgian Fire & Persian Star (a.k.a. Samarkand). The Georgian Fire is a fine garlic, by the way... one of my best performers last year, with very large bulbs & wonderful flavor. I think Vgautam is looking for U.S. sources because he lives in the U.S. ;-) While seeds are sometimes permitted across the border, other plant materials (such as bulbs) are more restricted. Many Canadian suppliers will not ship to the U.S. (even for seeds) due to U.S. phyto-sanitary requirements.
