Thanks for the nice comments on the raised beds! Maryl - I planted the pentunias in the raised bed 3.5 weeks ago. The dark purple ones with white edges I bought right before that, and the others I'd had growing in pots for a couple of weeks before deciding to use them for edging in the raised bed. There are fresh plants at Lowes and Home Depot here. And they've had new petunias in until recently. Now it's mostly lantanas, asters and mums. The hummingbirds here don't pay much attention to the petunias. They love the pentas more than anything else I have. They also like my flowering bushes - Buddleia, Wigela and Hibiscus. Debra

If you are posting from photobucket, you can do it there. Click on edit image... then go to the decorate tab, choose the "T" for text, and you are set. You can then either overwrite the image or save a copy. I will tell you that if you overwrite the image, it does not always show up correctly (with text) in your gallery until you have exited and re-entered photobucket. Hope that helps! Julie

I actually purchased a new crossvine that was being sold as a yellow blooming variety and this is it's first full year in the ground but I have no flowers yet. If it blooms in the Spring and is truly a yellow one I will post photos of it here. I have the wild form as well and it has the typical flowers so I can do a comparison. I am th former curator of the vine collection for the JC Raulston Arboretum here in Raleigh, NC.

Thanks so much for the replies- and sorry for the terrible photos. I don't have any better pictures - I was really tryign to find out if any of the trees were part of the Cypress family. Someone was telling me that is what they were and I didn't think they looked the same at all from what I was finding online. The pics are from Georgia. It is great to know you don't think that is what they look like at all. At least that is a direction : ). If i can get some better pics I will post again here and make sure to get leaves.
