Thank you Moccasinlanding! Yes, my albo is going tob eb HUGE this year! It has been with me 3yrs now! Yes, I am a container growere. For several reasons. Mostly it helps keep slugs out. But also because the ground is so rocky here in MO. And you can move them when and if needed so they don't get too much sun or bad weather. I know a couple of neighbors had thier hostas in the ground somehow and they just don't do well. So mine are container hostas and thriving and beautiful. I am the envy of my neighborhood! All of mine are different and unique. So the Wheeee fit right in. I just adore it. I was so impressed that Lowes had it. In this area, unique hostas are hard to come by in stores like this. I bought my 4 "babies" last year from a private grower. and paid a pretty penny for them, too... Even for seedlings. But I am so glad I did and no regrets.

I'll post some different varieties than are already here, but wanted to say it's wonderful to see varieties I have doing so well other places. I don't have a picture host, so I'll have to link to them one at a time. I'll pick my favorites. :) Keep in mind that there isn't a single tree that I've bought that was over a 2-year graft. Some of these I have had since I started in 2004, and some obviously in subsequent years. Many of these started as small as 6' tall, including their root stock! I'm a proud mama! Toro, glad you enjoyed the pics! All of the pics were taken with my Samsung Galaxy S5 =) The nuttall will need to grow quite a bit more before any scion can be taken off! It is still getting acclimated to it's new spot, however, it is showing signs that it might be getting comfortable in it's new setting. Arktrees has also spotted a good sized red nuttall(?) in a parking strip in NWA. I need to let Dax (the inspiration for this thread) take a look and see if he thinks it worth grafting. I hear ya on the weeds. I spent the majority of my weekend outside weeding the beds. Couldn't spray roundup because it was so windy. Oh well...

We will have a few more freezes, but if they are like the others, it is only for a very few hours and temps go into the 50w nd 60s. And you are also right about the season not being as good when it starts too soon.
