Wildflower ID please

I don't know the common or scientific names for any of these wildflowers and would appreciate your help. These pictures were taken in California and Arizona in March of this year. What a spectacular show of wildflowers. Thanks for your help!

Wow, great pictures and flowers. I will try and get some time to help figure some of these out later on, but for now I will comment on a few that I have at least some idea on. I would try and figure out the Genus and search through the USDA plant database. Here are a few of my initial thoughts.

Cactus gallery:
I don't know

White gallery:
Neither are familiar to me.

Orange gallery:
1. Reminds me of a mallow or hibiscus.
2. Not sure, I would start with penstemons.
3. No idea

In the pink gallery:
1. No idea, but awesome flowers!
2. Owl's clover was my initial thought, a search of that genus found this, Castilleja exserta
3. No idea
4. Reminded me of hibiscus. I tried it on USDA site and found this, Hibiscus denudatus.
5. Onion? Allium species.
6. Same as 4?
7. No idea
8. No idea
9. No idea
1. No idea
2. No idea
Purple gallery:
1. Onion? Alium species.
2. Not sure, but I would maybe start by finding the genus or family that a plant called fiddle neck is in.
3. No idea
4. Some kind of Iris!!! awesome.

Yellow gallery:
1. No idea
2. No idea
3. Another hibiscus?
4. No idea

Thanks Brian! That USDA database is very sophisticated, but a bit complicated. I'll have to spend more time with the advanced function to see if I can understand and use it! Guess I'll have to learn flower/plant lingo!

I took almost 300 pictures, of which about 120 were OK. Most I was able to identify, but these remaining ones weren't in the wildflower pamphlets I bought.

I don't really have any photos that provide more context. These flowers were in scattered patches and there were a lot of them. Others plants from the area are Trillium that were out of bloom for about two weeks. There was a Putty Root in full bloom. Lots of nettles, Violets, Dwarf Larkspur in season and others. Dracocephalum has similar flowers but the leaves are lanceolate and these are more heart shaped. Here is another photo that shows leaves better. It does vary depending on the growing conditions. In low light it can grow quite tall. In short turf it is prostrate. The blooms also vary from light to dark in colour.

spring beauty, Claytonia. I grew up with C. virginica, but yours is likely something different. Here's a series of maps from BONAP which shows all the US Claytonia. Bright green for the county where they occur, dark green if it occurs anywhere in the state. You can find your area and see which species grow in your county, then do a web search for those species to see which matches.
