Thank you Resin, I really appreciate your help! I thought they might be, but all the pictures I see of Mugos never seem to have long branches like that -- so I was a bit confused. Do you think it would be okay to plant them as close to our brick foundation as the person in the photos has? Thanks again for helping me to identify! Rich

Maybe the potted one isn't actually producing truly paired leaves, the way to check is to look real close. If it is Ulmus parvifolia that is a nice garden tree that is even used for bonsai. This species has been confused in cultivation with the comparatively mediocre U. pumila which I wouldn't plant myself.

Sorry but nobody is going to be able to reliably name a specific double pink rose cultivar using only a picture of one cut flower, without any pertinent background information. But do try the Garden Web rose identification forum - being sure to note the directions in the FAQ section of that forum about what to post for best possible results. Also which cultivar it is won't really have that much to do with how to correct the yellowing. If the lowest leaves are yellowing entirely and starting to drop off most of the time with plants in general that will be a watering issue - either too much or not enough. Again more background about the situation - and more pictures - are needed.
