Someone at the swap, I'm sorry I've forgotten who, was thinking about taking pics of everyone individually and posting them so we could start matching faces with screen names. Not sure if she did so or not, or if everyone there was willing to participate, but thought that was a really good idea! In case that didn't happen, I thought maybe there was a way to add a photo to the profile page, but doesn't appear you can. So then I thought maybe that could be done to the journal page - but I cannot seem to even get to where you can edit that page any longer. I emailed the GW contact, but received no response. I thought of a way we could start a photo page, though. It would be a thread that we'd have to bump to the top now and then, but people could insert a photo of themselves just like any other image in a post. Like this: mstywoods (aka Marj) Anyone else interested in doing this? If so, I can start a new thread with the subject of 'RMG Member Photo Page" and everyone could add to that thread. Marj, I brought the pepper and am glad it's doing well!. It's a Burpee seed, Burpee #69657 Spanish - Pepper, Hot Chile Verde Hybrid Seed, mildly pungent and matures from green to red according to the seed pack. It's my first year growing it, so I can't tell you much more than that. Most of the peppers I've harvested this year (the few the grasshoppers will spare) have been really hot! I hear they do get hotter in hot, dry weather. I think I'd pick one and try it green before letting them completely mature. I hope they're tasty! Barb

There are quite a few of the Itohs that are yellow that have come down in price significantly in the last few years. I was told that Home Depot sometimes carries the bagged roots. I've seen posts on the Peony Forum in the past about people acquiring Bartzella and Garden Treasure that way. Also Costco carries them in some areas. Think the prices I saw on the forum were around $40 from both of those sources. Tagawa carries several Itohs but they're around $90 each. I think they're mainly sold blooming so you'll know what you're getting! Yumi is an absolutely gorgeous yellow that blooms prolifically and is one that Tagawa carries. Other nurseries carry them in CO, Tagawa is just the one that I've seen them at. That series is limited distribution locally, though. Bartzella is probably the most popular and commonly available yellow Itoh. It's amazing when seen as an established shrub. Getting P. Mlokosewitschii from Hillside is a very good source for a good price, just keep in mind these are grown from seed so could possibly end up blooming a different color. Molly sold blooming size that has a proven color is significantly more expensive. I have 2 seedlings that I got last year, they come in a 3-4 inch pot, probably around 6" long. Both came up this year but probably won't bloom for another 2-3 years. I think they came from Hillside. All of the species peonies that I've seen are very wet sensitive, need to be planted in a very well draining area and a bit shallower than lactifloras here in CO.

CasaLester, The climbing hydrangea is indeed H. anomala subsp. petiolaris, so definitely not the one that you want. I don't have any red flowered camellias, only white and one pink. The loropetalum I have is Proven Winners Jazz Hands White. I unfortunately have no more space for shrubs or trees or I'd take the hardy grapefruit. I don't need anything in return for the loropetalum. I will hold it for you. (Is you fine, or should I use they or them or another? I'm not so great at pronouns but I try.)
