Sugar Maple Fall Color

Hey, I was wondering. When do you usually start getting the orange/Red fall color in young Sugar Maple Trees?

Yesterday I dug a Sugar Maple seedling out of my Great Aunts flower bed and I now have it in a pot. It is about a year old and is about 12 inches tall.

We'll the top leaves have yellow around the edges and was thinking its already turning. It has what looks like fresh growth on top. This tree is a seedling off of my Great Aunts tree by her garage and the tree by the garage turns the orange/red color. This tree she has wasn't grafted because it to was a srout that popped up. Her tree is about 46 years old and a neighbor of hers planted it for her when it was just a small seedling.

So are they normally yellow when small and later turn the orange/red color as it matures? Thanks.
