Hello,

I am going to be planting a Japanese Maple in my flower bed in front of my house. The maple would sit on the side of the flower bed and would get mostly full sun in the afternoon and part sun in morning. I am looking for the best japanese maple that does not get to tall, retains its red color most of the year, and my biggest concern is TEXAS HEAT tolerablity. I have done some research and come down to three JM which are Emperor I, Bloodgood, and Fireglow. My main concern really is the heat. Which one is the best for full sun heat? My dad has a bloodgood and his leaves seem to burn a little more in the summer here in Texas so I am leaning more towards an Emperor I or Fireglow. Please help me with advice and experience. I would greatly appreciate it!
