Shrink wrap tape is customarily used for sealing polyethylene sheeting - and of course, shrink wrap. It's designed with UV protection and is nearly impossible to remove from poly. I have several rolls left from winter covering my boat and find all sorts of other uses for it. The prices range from 12.00 for a 4' x 60 ft roll to well over 50.00 - depending on whether you buy from a marine retailer, or discount store. I grow tomatoes, cukes and peppers in my 2 small ones. I know a lot of people that grow strawberries and ones that hang flower baskets down the centerline. There is a forum for hightunnels but I don't have it handy.

Broccoli is started. I have over 200 plants to go out. Probably ASAP. I am going to start hardening them off tomorrow and Thursday. Update on Movable Tunnels: They are almost finished. It has been so cold, rainy, snowy, and I have been busy, that they aren't ready as early as I wanted. Everything is turning out very well. The only thing I am not 100% crazy about is the angle of the top. I wish we would have made it steeper. After redrawing it, it needed to be about 50-55 degrees. Mine are about 30-32 degrees. While I think it will be fine, they just look like two movable carports! They are remarkably strong. I grabbed onto one purlin and did a chin up on it. Keep in mind I am a 275 pound guy! My wife did the same thing, except she is 125 pounds. It made her feel better. I am going to finish the wiggle wire track tomorrow and maybe get the plastic on. I did not answer how long it took. For the most part it was just my husband putting it up, though we had help on 3 different occasions. the first occasion we had 1 person helping us for a 7 hour day. Second was 1 additional person helping for 2 hours getting the door frame up and level and finally we got 4 additional people out to pull the plastic over which took about 45 minutes, most of that was spent tossing ropes over the structure and securing the plastic with wiggle wire after it was on. It took about 6 weeks to put it up working maybe 5 hours a day. Had this gone up in June or July when the days were 14 hours it would have been done in about 2 weeks as my Husband could have worked 14 hours a day instead of 5 to 6 hours a day (assuming he had nothing else to do such as plant, harvest and weed). A crew of 4 people who know what they are doing would have one of these up in 2 or 3 days. And I believe when we build another one of these it will take DH half the time as he now knows what to do and what the idiosyncrasies are with constructing one of these.
