Sowing Broad Beans/Fava Beans

Given that we are in August now, and the weather should start to cool down within the next few weeks, when should I be thinking about sowing broadbeans for overwintering?

I thought October/November would be about the right time of year but just want to confirm if this is correct.

I would be growing 'Windsor' and possibly 'Aquadulce' depending on space constraints. On that subject - would broadbeans be amendable to being grown in grow bags?
