Just started collecting seriously this year and have questions

When the nurseries say they are "replanting their fields", does this mean that they dig all their irises up every year, till the ground and then replant them all again? Is this recommended if you are growing lots of irises?

What do you experienced growers do in the fall, winter, spring and summer to keep your irises healthy and disease free throughout the whole year. I'm especially concerned about keeping my irises fungus free since we have very humid conditions alot of the time in Tennessee.

What are the best products to use? Has anyone used Fung-inol disease control granules? If so, when did you apply it and how often?

I'm using Preen to control weeds in my iris beds now. Is this what you are using or have you found something that works better than Preen?

I'm grateful for all the tips you can give to help me have successful iris growing and avoid alot of the beginner frustrations.

Thanks for helping,

Cathy
