Thanks Sierra & Toots... yes it is love-in-a-mist, and the white flower is Cilantro. That reminds me, the cilantro is done blooming now, I'd better yank it out... it's seedy! I liked the first one, the inside of a hollyhock, it looks like it's made out of plastic.

Hey Patann!! How sweet of you--'E.A Janice'--I wish I were an 'angel'! :o) If I am, I sure have a crooked halo! LOL I love that pic. of E.A., too! I find that taking close-ups often makes a hosta look really good, or as good as they really are (better said)!! In the pic. you're referring to, behind the daylilies are some inpatiens in a planter! It is deceiving isn't it! :o) Oh, and yes--I do have that E.A. in a pot! I'm really unsure about how a hosta will over-winter in the barrel sitting on top of the 3ft. high raised bed! So, I have an extra 'Hyacinthina' planted around the pot! I will remove the pot of E.A. for the winter and see what happens to 'H' come Spring. If it makes it, then I'll plant E.A. directly into the barrel! AND, I have had 'Powder Blue' in a pot, in a barrel for two summers now--never taking the time to plant it directly, it seems. Hopefully, I will this time, when it dies back a bit! It's over-wintered just fine in the pot, in the barrel, but this barrel is in direct contact with 'mother earth'!

Well, I have to wait for my PODS to arrive here on Dec.1st and then find my Sony cord to connect camera to computer. Why I lost touch with that and not in my computer bag, I haven't a clue. I took all these lovely pictures of my three original hosta still all pretty and nice in the garden bed covered with leaves, and duhhhhhh, there they sit untouchable in the Sony camera. The new Nikon P500 arrives on Nov 29th, I think Tuesday, and after I charge the battery, I'll be reshooting the same garden shots. As direct a comparison as I can make, provided we don't have a terrific freeze before then. I got a monopod and a tilting ball head. Incidentally, I decided on the Nikon because of my hands. I must have broken my left hand while loading the PODS to move, and it is quite painful and will not do things as it should. Not knowing if I will regain an adequate degree of use for a heavy camera, I opted to go with one having a fairly long zoom lens w/o so much weight. Being left-handed I've always been more ambidexterous than many folks who are right-handed, but some things you just MUST have both hands working right. Like pruning with hand clippers.

Thanks everyone. Its always a pleasure to share with you. And, Roselee, yes, those rose pics are of the Pinkie. And, I love the blue fan flowers because the are just about bullet proof. Give them half a chance and some sun and they are consistently good performers. They take the heat, low humidity and our alkaline water. Water them too much, and they are OK, water them too little, and they'll come back. Good ones for sure.
