Comments (5)Just a note...Beans can obtain their own Nitrogen (The first 8 in your 888 fertilizer). I wouldn't feed them anymore. If you do decide to feed again, I would pick a fertilizer that has a low Nitrogen number. Just my two cents. Good Luck. Comments (1)You did it right, drying on the vine is the best way. Usually at point you can put them in paper bags and store them in a cool dry place like the pantry for a couple of weeks. At which point, you can put them in plastic bags if you desire. Putting them in ziplocks and storing in the freezer does prevent damage from weevils....See MoreDry bean plants yellowing and dying.
