Sorry I forgot to give the names of the irises. The strangely colored pink-red-burgundy one is Lady Friend, an early bloomer. The yellow is Total Recall, which blooms from March to November in Southern California. The white is Frequent Flyer, another prolific and endless rebloomer that was a gift from Hoovb. The oranges taste terrible, CMK, if that's any consolation. I have to juice them and add tons of sugar. Renee

Oh, joy! I'm glad someone is getting some blooms from TB. That purple really is a standout, isn't it. Looks really tall. Your Persian Berry looks so big & ruffley, I don't remember mine looking so lovely. But last year is a long time ago :) What a lovely clump of Lady Friend! Can't leave out Total Recall, it is such a soft color. I have stalks on Daughter of Stars, & a couple others I won't know til they bloom. I'll have bloom soon also.

Thanks for the compliments. This weekend I went to Greenwood Daylilies and Irises and got Jennifer Rebecca. I can't wait to see it bloom to see what color it really is here. I'm not going to plant it until I see. Kprp, yes, I think New Leaf is a luminata. It certainly is luminous. tabarhodes, you will not be disappointed by Cajun Rhythm. It's still blooming. I can't stop taking pictures of it. I don't think my other new irises will bloom this year. Boo hoo. But the daylilies are all ready to bloom! Renee

This will be difficult to pin down. The more you can estimate the age the better (rules out some). Height (ground to top of top bloom). Yellow beards can photograph as orange. A side view photo taken from slightly above to try to show haft veining also helps. Side view photos most helpful. What I notice in the top photo is how the falls flare (horizontal) and some curl under - do the falls stand out straight on new flowers and curl under with age? Or vice-versa? One has very open standards - do they all behave that way? Or is a standard petal broken off? Knowing your iris' quirks will help when someone familiar with the reds tries to guess. Saying all that here are a few names beginning with R & S. There are plenty more!
