am I crazy to want to buy a new plant now for outdoor container?

The more I see Arborescens/Anabelle (it's called something like that), the more I want one... as in NOW. I don't want to have to wait until Spring to buy one. I am in what I think is now considered Z6b. Would I be totally crazy to order one now, and presumably receive and then pot it say 2 weeks from now? Of course I would protect it just as I do all my outdoor plants, and even moreso since it will be "new". But will that still not be enough? Will it not have had enough time to adjust to its new home, and for the roots to settle? (Note that my yard is cement, so there is no option for me to plant the plant into the ground.) Would it make a difference if the plant were somewhat large (like an actual "bush"), versus if it were just the size of a "plant"?

Could I buy it now and give it just as much of a chance of surviving the winter as my other more established plants, or should I wait until the Spring?

TX!
