I know that the Tobacco Worm bean is a "string" bean...so I am curious if taking the string off does the trick or is it still stringy...I don't mind stringing beans...my Mama taught me to appreciate sitting on the porch stringing beans or shelling peas, but I don't want to string them and still find big old strings in my mouth when I am eating them...so tell me do they string readily?

I recieved this bean in a seed swap years ago at the Appachian Heirlom Seed Conservancy annual meeting and swap in Berea Ky. This years swap is Oct 2 at the home of Bill Best in Berea at 0900 see www.heirlooms.org for directions to bills all are invited. Brook Elliot was the originator and it was a Kentucky Heirloom. Off hand I do not have any more information but I will get it and post it. Southern Exposure seeds also recieved this bean during that seed swap and two years ago asked me to do a large grow out of it. So I am the grower for this bean for Southern Exposure seeds. Rodger
