Wow, pink iris. I was in the same boat a couple of years ago, and now have grown a few. Beverly Sills is pink to my eye when I stand by the clump. So is Persian Berry. Interestingly, they are NOT the same color. Together, BS looks orangey or coral and PB looks lavendar. I think Vanity is closer to true pink, but unfortunately the rhizome of Vanity that I acquired bloomed dark maroon. Nice iris, but not Vanity! I have a nice healthy rhizome of Alice Goodman that is in its 3rd year but hasn't bloomed, despite all my pep talks. It is supposed to be a ruffly clear pink. So you have a large range to choose from, don't stop at one!! Have fun!

I really like VANITY. It's been around for a while, but its pink color is very hard to beat. It's more true pink (without hints of orange in it) than any iris I have ever seen.

But from the looks of that picture of KITTY KAY, I've gotta to admit that it has gone on my shopping list for the next planting season. Looks like its worth taking a chance on that one!!!

Does Vanity rebloom?

SHEER ECSTASY bloomed for me for the first time this spring and was just gorgeous and a true pink, to my eye. Even my non-gardening fiance commented on it. It's a pretty good grower for me, too.

Vanity does not rebloom in KS.

Sheer Ecstasy is a brilliant magenta in my garden, I would never call it a pink.

I grew Beverly Sills for the first time this summer (planted last fall) and for me it came up pink, but with a purplish cast (rather than coral as someone noted). I found it really easy, it was lovely its first year in, and its grown so much I'm thinking of splitting the two rhizomes into 4 this fall.

Her Kingdom for its vigor.
