Fire and Ice VS Little Quick Fire
Comments (14)Thank you. I don't really care about fall color personally. The long cones of things like strawberry sundae I don't find attractive as I rather prefer the domed shape of Annabelle if she just wasn't so aggressive to take over real estate even after I thought I removed her. I also saw one photo that had a row of fire and ice and they looked a very blah shade of pink/beige and the florets were spaced far apart to make the scene all the worse.. Perhaps it was just a moment between two attractive colors, but it made me wonder what others have experienced. I look forward to any photos....See MoreWhich hydrangeas are you hoping to purchase this year?

Comments (12)Technically, with proper aftercare, you can transplant any time the soil is workable. However, you run a much greater risk of transplant shock if you do so during the growing season (when the shrub is in leaf and active growth). If you can, wait until fall when the leaves drop and the plants enter dormancy, as this is the preferred time as others have indicated. A hard freeze is not necessary, as long as the plant is dormant....See MoreLittle Quick Fire hydrangea question

If they do not leaf out or produce new growth by the end of May, then they did not make it. On its first Spring, times may be "off" from what would be normal times in your area... by a few weeks....See Morewhaas_5a
