I see mechanical injury, maybe in the nursery, maybe from wind (I have several plants that must endure our wind and lvs look like that), maybe from user. I also see maybe first hints that plant has a nutrient deficiency, maybe from what ian says, maybe due to garden soil/climate interactions. The brown spots might be from water - either the salts in the water or maybe fert in the water. As long as your soil has adequate organic matter and no deficiencies and you can provide adequate water and nutrition (and the plant doesn't mind your climate) it'll outgrow these non-fatal conditions. Generally speaking, you're NOT supposed to use weed killer in the same beds as good plants, because rain or watering can start washing it into the soil/roots around the good plants, and sicken or kill them from the ground up. I'd stick to hand-weeding and mulch for weed control IN beds. Or you can get some kind of slow-release fertilizer / weed controller pellets and apply that early in the season. Or at least consider gravity. If you water downhill from good plants you should be relatively okay. But if your plants are on the same level or downhill from the weed killer, there will be problems. Otherwise, your pictures indicate regular heat/sun stress behavior. This is normal, unless you water a little in the evening and the plant still looks like that first thing the next day.

Jennifer —-(Spraying with Neem Oil and or and other mixtures to eradicate the insects organically could still harm those beneficial insects. Some people will just let those pest stay on the tree because they dont want to harm them. Its a difficlt choice to make for some and you need to understand that some bad infestations that might get out of hand and could cause your trees to become weak and allow other diseses to slowly kill your tree. i always try and let Mother Nature work on the right balance of the pest verses the beneficial insets to keep everything in check. But sometimes i will have to step in and use more than organic to combact the problem. its up to you to decide what is best for your tree. Laura Even those that eat leaves ___ Katydids 🌺

so its in sun.. during the heat of the day??? how and when is it watered.... z6 is about half the US.. and very divergent.. remind us where you are keep in mind.. a vast majority of each leaf is still green.. so they are still doing what need be done ... pretty or not ... may as well tell us about ambient weather this spring ... ken
