Generally, swarming bees do not attack, because they have nothing to defend (no honey, no children). However, I wouldn't try to remove them without a beesuit. I am really surprised that none of the local beekeepers want to help you. Geez, that's a real drag--certatinly wouldn't happen in our neighborhood. The bees won't stay in a clump on a branch for very long--they will try to find a real home within a day or two, so you can just wait until they leave. Unfortunately, they may decide to move from the tree to somewhere in your house, which would make the problem go from bad to worse. So, what's to do? Well, by any chance do you have a bee supply place locally? If so, you could purchase a standard beehive box, and put them in there. Or, you could put them in a box of some sort, and take them out of town. To move them at all, however, you'll need to either buy a beesuit, or figure out some way to cover yourself completely. Some form of netting over the head is essential--if bees are going to attack (not likely in this case, but there's no sense taking a chance), plus long overalls, leather gloves, workboots and trousers with the cuffs taped shut. That ought to keep you save. Hope this helps.

Hi Toni I'm sorry to hear about the bad news on flooded basements and about your lost in the basement. I hope everything gets better soon for everyone and that everyone gets their electric back soon. I will say a prayer so that god helps everyone and things get better soon I'm just looking for a book that has info on gardenias as well as other plants like roses, palm trees and basil. Toni: how do you take care of your gardenias? I see that your gardenias look good. I want to know what care do you give them to see if It helps me with this gardenia thats giving me a headace May be you can spray the garden safe 3 and 1 fungicide it controls spiders and mites. LOL about the rabbit. may be it's a cat that might be eatting the leaves of your plant. all my gardenias expect one is doing great. I have 7 gardenias one is in between and the other 6 are doing great. I do have a rose that looks sick. can you give me some advice on how to take care of rose plants please? I think you still could feed your gardenia until november. I water the gardenias with de-still water since I have hard tap water and I hear that is bad for them and makes their leaves go yellow. My iris is long done blooming. It bloomed for like a month. Its first time ever. Next year, now that I know what it is, and can find out how to take care of it, maybe I will get a mass of blooms for months! I only have 1 stem of blooms and got about 5 flowers, one after another. Now I am just waiting for that pup to throw out roots,...if that is what it does. Then I can pot up the mother plant and put it in more shade and better soil. It is already growing like a monster now, so if it gets better conditions, it will go crazy. Boy, one rhizome cost a lot! I have a nice expensive iris 'clump'!

Peonies need sun and water when it gets dry, other then that mine went 15 years without anything other then mowed in the fall and water when it did not rain for long periods. We moved and they came with us last year in the summer.
