Pale color blooms and green blooms

I have a beautiful Hydrangea that blooms both blue and pink blooms. It also has green blooms. There are many large blooms but just not much color. When it first started blooming this year the pink and blue blooms were colorful. Now they are faded and there are lots of green ones. I know I am not doing what I should for this plant but really don't know what to do. I did put some lime on it but that hasn't seemed to make a difference. Any help would be appreciated.

As hydrangea blooms age, they turn or fade to green (blue/purple in cooler climates). After turning green then they change again, adding bits of pink and/or burgundy. Basically, this is normal for hydrangeas.

If you do not like the colors, you can cut off the blooms. Adding lime will not accomplish anything but make the soil more alkaline.

I have mini hosta edging in front of my boxwoods. Mine has a variagated leaf for some color and they flower for a few weeks as well.... once hosta's are established they don't need much attention.

YIPEE! Florida sunshine brings happy daylilies! I've been awaiting your photos since I knew you would be one of the first of the year to post. I always like your selections. I notice you grow a lot of the small daylilies. They are so cute! I have a few myself but not as many as you. Thank you for sharing these because it is COLD and snowy here today and not looking at all like spring. I LOVE Spacecoast Color Scheme! That is one I wanted to get from Maryotts last year but was put off by the price. (Hoping it goes down some for my budget because I adore that one and want it badly). I also like the bright, cheerfulness of Yellow Umbrellas but they are all darling and a ray of sunshine right now! Just what I needed to try to forget about all the white stuff outside. Celeste
