I just saw this inspiration pic today on Houzz. It is under Plato Woodwork--the cabinet company, so they don't know all the details. I like this backsplash and think my husband may like this blue more than the aqua one I am also considering. Anyway, anyone seen this? I looks like mini brick glass tile. Thanks for any guesses.

Sorry to hear that, deltaskye. But yes, it should recover. Most if not all hydrangea varieties are on the deer's plates everywhere. It may take a year or two to get "everything looking right" but yes, they will be ok. The plants will develop new stems and new branches where they want so you may need to prune after they leaf out (or after they bloom - just so you enjoy bloomage) to get some stuff looking right.Similar recoveries have also happened even when someone accidentally cut them all off to 1" high stems. Just wait and check periodically check to see if you need to make a cut here or there as new parts grow.

It's miniature only because it's in a pot. If you plant it in the ground, jump back!

These are sold as Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria heterophylla) but it has been said that many (most?) of the small specimens on the market are actually A. columnaris. In Hawaii at least the latter is certainly the dominant one in the planted landscape. The wrestling match at the base probably indicates the specimen consists of two separate seedlings (seed raised plants) in close proximity. The leaning one should be carefully cut away and discarded, in order to free up the straight one.
