I have really been enjoying both yours and John's photo's. I told myself I wasn't going to add ANY more to my iris wish list, and thanks to you two, I have added Saturabico, Dark Twilight, Canned Heat (man was this a knock-out photo!), Set To Music, and Sharp Shooter. *Sigh*
I'm heading back to see if you've added any more. :o]

It's always nice to know which ones do well and which don't. I agree with you, Mike, on several that have pretty flowers, but bloom on ten inch stalks.

I'm doing good for an 80 year old. Do not spend much time on garden web since the changes. I'm into African Violets now. I have two shelf units-5 shelves each. I do the RRs for leaves and have about 50 now. My hoya are outside on the patio under the roof. Get some rain when the wind blows. I've sore of neglected them. I love when they bloom though. We sit outside in the evening and the fragrance is beautiful. I wished they bloomed more often than once a year. I may bring some inside and put some of the smaller leaved ones on a shelf instead of the violets. I am on Facebook more than here on Gardenweb. I can't get used to all the changes. It was easier before because i had tabs for the hoya forum, african violet forum, and the cactus forum. Now I just go to African violets and only when we are active in a RR, which is now. Most of the violet people went to facebook. Such is the times, changing, changing. Good to see you are still with the hoya. Keep up the great work.

Carol, I think Quadra is an exceptional climbing rose. The bloom form is wonderful and the blooms last for a long time. The red is very vibrant. It blooms in nice clusters and the leaves are glossy and more importantly, very healthy. I have not had any disease whatsoever on my Quadra. It is also quite hardy and there aren't too many hardy climbers that repeat here. Phyl, thanks for the compliments...you can come to my gardens anytime...er, well when there's something to see..LOL. Right now things look pretty pathetic, all brown and bare. Jen, I am glad you like Pink Rosette (Valerie, too)... it is such a charming rose and blooms its head off. It has large clusters of the cutest little rosettes you've ever seen...they are so perfect they don't look real. And the blooms last FOREVER....if you cut one of the big clusters, it will last over a week in a vase and still look fresh. The bush stays compact so its great for the front of a border or bed. Believe it or not, I STILL have a cluster of Pink Rosette on the bush out there right now! Valerie...you have to try this one! What Mini-Splits Look Like in Your Home what do these systems look like in your home, you ask? https://www.ductless-mini-split-air-conditioner.org/ Indoor Here are a couple of pictures of “indoor units” installed in customer homes. As you can see, the indoor unit is mounted near the ceiling. mini split in home mini split home stock Inside the unit is a fan and a set of self-adjusting louvers. The louvers can be configured by the remote control to sweep back and forth and up and down, or point the cool air in a specific direction or directions. The louver directions are easily set with the remote control. We love our mini-splits because they are quieter than the industrial-strength fans we used to have, and they provide near instantaneous cooling. When the unit is off, the louvers close, making the unit look even sleeker. In this photo, the louvers are closed almost all the way: indoor unit closed The indoor unit is connected to the outdoor unit by two insulated refrigerant pipes and a power line. We only have to drill a 3″ hole through the wall to run the pipes and wire. And, of course, the hole is behind the indoor unit and made weather tight from the outside.

desertsteph- Yep, it's their hometown. "Alan Jackson's Momma's House" (as people say here) is about a mile or so from this one. jakabedy- The gingerbread is actually original. They did try to tame down some of the fluffy factor when making interior updates though. Maybe that's why it seems off? Colorcrazy- Yeah, they don't list SqFt in GA, which I find really frustrating. That means you have to pull tax records to find it. This cottage is just about 2500 sqft.

Thank-you for sharing these Mike. I've really been enjoying them.

I just wish the site showed thumbnails. They're all beautiful, but it would be easier for browsing.

Keep up the great work. I'm sure that there are many more people that appreciate them, but haven't had the time to say it.
