Thanks, Debra. I was very pleased to see it bloom so nicely as a brand new one. We had the unrelenting rain earlier, and I didn't think i would ever get any weeding done. I still have a few spots to do, but I'm working on the baby's room right now. thanks Sarah, I have such a nice selection because I have no discipline in buying them...actually, Mantis, I think Intelligent Design is more Purple because it has been a lot cooler than usual with the frequent rains...It will lighten up, never fear...the heat is coming...it always does. It is difficult to say. Pastel Splendor opens yellow and fades to cream with pink edges. Takara opens very pink and fades to lighter pink. I have a few Itohs and I really like them all.

Thanks so much! Judy, it's in its fifth season. Mine didn't do much the first year I had it, the second year it bloomed quite a bit more, and by the third season it was doing great. Mine had gotten pretty big so I had my grandson prune it for me. Mine blooms good in the spring, then I have scattered blooms. I think yours will do great once it gets established.
