I did have them in the tray they came in but then they weren't as close to the lights as the others. I did think they were getting dry pretty fast. I will find something to put them in, thanks. Well, I do go in the basement first thing in the morning while I'm waiting for my coffee :), in fact, I just noticed some of them look like they grew a little overnight! It's not as bad as it sounds. My basement is finished and it's my workout room that I use daily, plus storage, laundry, and a freezer so I go down there frequently anyway. I planted peppers a week ago and put the tray on the heating mat, I'm amazed I haven't opened it every day to see if they are sprouting. LOL

We bought a Wolf 30" dual fuel range last year. They were running a 500 dollar off promo at the time and gave us free glide racks. But I have never heard of anyone being able to bargain with Wolf on the price. Every dealer we got a quote from in NJ gave us the same price.

My friends joined a CSA in VA and had a similar disappointing experience--poor quality, low amounts, etc. They moved, so not sure if it ever got resolved. There are CSAs and there are CSAs. I know of one locally that is very popular with the owners/customers. There are issues with growing organic--the produce will not be as plentiful, big or as blemish free as conventional--BUT, there are also issues with how soon you get stuff to your customers too! Also, I know some CSAs sell their produce for top dollar at the farm markets and give what doesn't sell or the "seconds" to their share holders. Bear in mind, it's very hard to make a living in agriculture. Since you are in effect a part "owner" of a CSA, I think it would be a good place to start by having a discussion with the managment. But I'd wait a little while to see if things pick up. Growing great vegetables is a rare art as well as difficult science. A good CSA will educate their shareholders on what is going on in their fields.

Ah, good points, jen and parma. Yes, it was sad to see that faded beauty sitting there...there's *no way* I could use it unless it's reupholstered, but the lines are so graceful. It would be the perfect finish for our living-room-to-be (once it's emptied of tile and boxes that are being stored there while we're doing other parts of the house!), along with some (nice) walnut modern furniture with loose cushions. bronwynsmom, we're in Portland OR so it won't be as inexpensive as if we lived in the SE, for example, but less than Chicago, I think. Well, off to find upholsterers(after taking DH to see the chair--if he doesn't like it, it's off anyway). I just wanted to do a little pre-research before interacting with upholsterers directly...thanks very much!
