Hi Janice, Singing in the Rain is just a Blue Umbrellas sport and not a reverse Dancing in the Rain. It starts out with a green/chartreuse margin that slowly turns lighter until the edge is cream. Personally I really like the final colors, but early on it doesn't stand out much. It has excellent vigor and the leaf shape makes it different from others with the same coloring. When you say reverting, were you saying it has a white centered or solid green eye? I've seen solid green ones before, and yes, I think that if one has a solid green eye early on you really have to get that completely removed or that plant might sport again. If the eye is on the edge and you know you can get rid of it then you should be okay. If it is in the center I would pass on it. Here I have one Singing in the Rain that was streaked, but now it is a mish-mash of edge, streaked, and solid eyes. Not very pretty. So I like this plant in late summer and think that a really large, full grown one would be worth having in the garden - some day I'll have my own garden rearranged and would like to see this one added. Why I have a drift of Honeybells and a drift of Komodo Dragon is beyond me...

I actually bought two last year to have instant gratification, but I must have received TCs. I received two plants with 1 eye each. Reading all the posts about nematodes last year, I gave them short baths in 10% chlorine (I believe) solutions, and they lost 1 or 2 leaves each from that, but survived. They were small skinny plants anyway and did not do much last year. This spring they were still alive, but looked skinny, so I potted them up. Now they both are bushy, but look more like Fire and Ice. I plan to plant them in the ground in a month. They are supposed to become 32 inch tall, but are now 7 inches, so a long way to go, many years. It looks like white centered TCs are not a good investment for a retired guy like me, and I paid about $15 each. I also bought Eskimo Pie, another white centered one, also looked like a TC, and lost its single white leaf this spring, is now all green. I tend now to go to this local nursery which sells nearly mature plants in pots. Good luck! Bernd

Don, on second thought, I need to plant a rain garden, given how pitifully dry we have been all summer. I already have a Rainforest Sunrise... So, I'm bumping this up...Nobody have a Rain Dancer? I'm curious about the color & rate of growth.
