Did you add additional litterboxes? You need at least one per cat on each level - if cat is not using the litterbox at all, you might put one behind your chair (TEMPORARILY - yeah I know, it's a PITA, but it's only TEMPORARY - idea is just to get habit re-established to go in litterbox, then move it gradually to where you want it to be.) And keep the daughter's door closed. Even if the new cat is not actively chasing your cat away from the litterbox, Dandelion could be put off by someone else using it. If you didnt do the proper gradual introductions you might want to start over and keep them separate, gradually letting them get used to each other.

I think it's a leash issue......and she's not used to being on one while doing her business. My dog has the same problem but I'm fortunate in that I don't have to worry about him disappearing when he has free rein in the yard. My suggestion is to try using a long lead (30') or a retractable leash so she can get some distance between you and her. Each time she goes potty while on the leash....either long leash or short......be sure to praise her and maybe even give a treat. Over time you can slowly shorten the long line and I think she'll eventually get used to a shorter leash and will have no problems going potty. Well this is a timely thread, as I am having the exact same problem! We have 7 cats, and one is a "problem child." This little guy is so cute, and he is the youngest, and was the last addition to the family. All was fine while he was still young, and we kept him separated from the others while he was little. He is neutered like all the others, but he isn't social with them, and there is a LOT of aggression between him and one of my other cats which is a large, dominant black male. "Corky" is peeing and marking up a storm all over the house! And this morning he ruined my laptop, which I am cursing myself because I told myself I needed to keep it put away and I got lazy. I know it is definitely behvioral, and I see a lot of recommendations for some anti-depressants. I guess I am going to have to do this, because NOTHING is working. We recently moved and it stopped for a week, then started back as bad as ever. I am using gallons of that "Nature's Miracle", and it helps with the smell but nothing else. There is no way we can give our little guy up, my husband is crazy about him and vice versa, and he is so cute and sweet outside of this. He does pee in odd places - on the floor, on plastic, on electrical stuff, wet clothing, rugs, etc. It is very frustrating! I do have one other cat who occasionally will pee in an odd place, but I think it's because he smells the other one's "marks." Had cats ALL my life (58 years) and never had this problem before. I am thinking I may need to keep him out on the enclosed porch by himself, at least at night or when I am gone. Most of the "accidents" are during the night.

If it isn't recent and isn't attributed to medical problems there could be a few things Does your husband watch to make sure she does anything, or just let her out, dissapear, and then let her in?? How big is her crate?? If its large enough that she can piddle in it, and get away from it, it's too big for housetraining. If she's doing it and hiding it under her blanket/bedding - Take the bedding away for a day or two. You'll feel bad, it'll sound annoying, but she won't do it if she's forced to lie in it once she does. If she's not housetrained, she should never be left alone in a room. This gives her ample opportunity to do her business and not get caught. You're effectively training her to just not do it in the house if you're in the room. A lot of people on here have given the suggestion to previous posters with training issues, to connect the dog to you at all times when you're home. . This way it's not possible for them to sneak off, you can catch them in the act, and they're not left alone with time to do their business.
