Sounds good to me. I mix DE in the sanding box and outdoor sanding corner.

Cindy: Texas Pink is a name I gave a seedling of unknown parentage. It's not an official name yet as I wanted to give it a couple of years to prove itself. As for how they would handle Texas, well I had hoped to get some feedback on that this year as I did send some cuttings to someone in Texas last Fall. So far I haven't heard anything. Interesting that you have though. Where did you hear that? They do seem to handle our summer heat better than some others do. As long as they get decent watering. Normally I'd be one of those posting that I have cuttings for postage. However, we are just about to move into a new house and while I have taken some cuttings I will likely get rid of most of them this weekend at the Middle Tennesse Plant Swap. I may post a message later on in the Fall if I have many left over.

They are difficult to get rid of, especially if you don't use pesticides (which I don't). I spray the entire plant with soapy water then I get out the Q-tips, dip them in diluted rubbing alcohol and go over the entire plant. Those little buggers like to hide, especially in hard to reach areas. It's a good idea to go over the plant with the Q-tips every few days because they will inevitably reappear. I also wash down the affected plants with a strong spraying with the hose often. If you have beneficial insects they really help keep them in check. You also want to make sure that they haven't spread to any plants nearby. Good luck. Karyn

Just ordered No Spider Mites, 32 oz for $39, no tax and free shipping. Its a bit pricy, but will last me two seasons. I read several reviews and everyone swears by this product. it works as in it kills the eggs. I want to eat eggplants from all my 8 plants, 4 varities. This is also helpful for tomato plants. I didnt realize that I posted it in tomato pests. LOL.
