Brown spots on hoya leaves

One of my hoyas gets brownish spots on some of its leaves (maybe 1/3 of them, to varying degrees) and has been getting them since I bought it as a cutting several years ago. The weird part is that the affected leaves don't seem to be suffering at all, and the plant is thriving. It also seems to affect both new and old leaves. Is it some sort of deficiency? A hoya close to it has gotten a few spots recently as well, but none of the others have any (they are in other rooms though).

Looks like a fungal infection.Could result in leaf loss if it overpowers the plants immune system.I use Captan fungicide on my plants if they have black spot or other fungal problems.its in a powder that you mix in a spray bottle.clears it up after 3 or 4 applications. Here is an amazon link about the product

Thank you for the diagnosis. I'll try that with a locally available fungicide!

I took off all leaves that had even one spot on them. They were pretty much all at soil level. Then I just made sure to let it dry thouroughly. I might have sprayed the base of the flants with a fungicide, but I can't remember now. I don't think I did. Hopefully it won't happen to you, or if it does, you'll catch it sooner. My plant is doing well now though.

I don't know if that would cause the problem. But you should tell them no more herbicides or chemicals since you no longer have a lawn but an orchard with grass. The half life of that chemical in soil is 1.5 years and plants take it up through their roots... The trees could be having trouble for other reasons. The mulberry does not have iron deficiency, that first appears on new growth. That is probably magnesium deficiency. Are the roots healthy? The leaves look a little wilted to me, maybe it is overwatered? The fig looks stressed but not sure why. How have you been watering it and how long ago was it planted? Which region do you live in and what has the weather been like? Some more pics might help.

The color also looks too yellow to be right. From the photo, it looks like it may have been planted too deep since I cannot see the root flare, the part of the trunk where the base of a tree broadens slightly, though it might be just hidden by mulch. Or it may have come from the supplier planted too deep. IME pin oaks are reasonably happy with OH soil. Mulch shouldn’t be against the trunk, so pull that back. Ideally mulch will start a few inches from the trunk and go out to the drip line of the tree on a small tree such as this to reduce competition from grass. I would pull aside the mulch and soil until you find the root flare to see how deeply it is planted compared to the flare. Have you done a pH test? What has the weather, particularly rain, been like this year compared to usual?
