Sorry it has taken me a while to get back and check in. I was out of town for work and just got home. Thanks so much everyone for the compliments. It makes me feel good, I must admit. I always seem to see what needs to be done, and sometimes forget to look at what it is! I will try to answer everyone's questions. Hope I don't miss any. In no particular order... The lilies in the "big" picture are almost all daylilies. The lilies in the close-up pictures I am not sure. Just some bulbs I picked up, probably at a big box store or the local garden center? Sorry I don't have their names. The rose pictured in the 4th picture is Morden Belle. There are actually 3 bushes planted in that bed. I hope that is the rose you meant? Yes, I do have the courtyard of roses and yes they are blooming. However, many of the roses on the fence were taken down this year due to RRD. I have planted bittersweet in their place. Won't be the beautiful flowers, but will provide privacy that won't get RRD. As you can see from the picture below, the fence is now pretty bare looking on the side. I have decided that I will try to keep the roses on the fence across the end and around the corner. The need for privacy there is not so great, as the Wine and Roses weigela in the island bed does screen most of the garden from that end. Again, thank you everyone! Sharon-Wow the ice did push those rocks out of the water. I have never seen anything like that before. Thanks for all the compliments about Brittney. Do you know when you save change it never looks like it is as much as it turns out to be. Well...I have this jar that counts change as you put it in so I am filling it with quarters to give to Brittney on her graduation day. It should hold close to $300.00 or more (I'm still working on getting it full). I'm going to offer her a check for $100.00 OR the money in the jar. Her Mom laughed and said she will think the check is more and take it. That is what I hope she does and then I can tell her you just turned down $300.00 for a $100.00 check Brittney. Of course after kidding with her awhile I will give her the money jar. Dirtpig-I can't pull up your pictures...Boo Hoo Carol-I love all the projects you have started...I'm so jealous of your soon-to-be greenhouse...I want one. Sassy-Wow that daylily bud is early...My irises are just now budding, it will be awhile for the daylilies. Got to get packed, we are leaving for Stone Mountain, Ga. Lovely pics. I'm now very envious of all that "green" and water you have. As I mentioned in another thread, we've got a pretty good dry spell going around here at the moment and those two things are in short supply around here. Love the ferns. Thanks for sharing.
